295-35-18 with a mild drop?

Has anyone tried this size? I have 10" wheels, so they will fit the wheel, I'm just wondering if it'll rub.

295-35 appeals more to me than 285-35 because it's closer to stock diameter.

My wheels have a 46mm offset in the rear.

Right now my car is stock height, so I'm assuming it'll be fine with this width?

I can always get 15mm spacers when I do lower the car to combat rubbing. When I do lower, it'll be mild; something like the Cargraphic springs.

Please advise.

Re: 295-35-18 with a mild drop?

Hi Mkiv,
You are correct, 295/35/18 is closer to stock height, at .22" OAD less than stock. I have 295/30/19s on 11" wheels on my rear and they are fine. Your offset sounds close. I would fit the tires and then trial fit them to the car using washers as spacers (statically - no driving) to determine what thickness spacer to buy, if any - or you could search on here more to find 18" offset specifics. But, it will work, and you're on the right track. Enjoy. -Jeff

The old Ralph Boothe system of measuring AYE???
I have 295/30/19's on mine and they look pretty good without spacers but I have some GT-5 Aftermarket wheels on my Cayman and I do not know the offset.
Maybe down the road I will get some 14MM but I am quite happy and content at the moment with the Tires and wheels fitment but the handeling is so so
