Suggested Routes - North West CT

Here's one that I drove in the middle of the night once when I needed a Cayman fix.

Length: 32 Miles

Time Required: ~ 1 hour

Description: Nice sweeping bends in scenic Norht West CT.

Caution: If this is your first time on RT. 109, be careful. This road can sneak up on you with some blind turns, blind hills, reducing radius turns, and off camber turns. This is the only tricky part of this ride.
If you're in this area with an hour to kill, give it a try. You can start and stop anywhere on the loop. Enjoy....

Thanks Gator! The next time I head to LimeRock, I'm definitely giving this a try.

Hey,

I hope you all find my information useful. I traveled 250 miles last Sunday to enjoy fall foilage. Great time. My first trip out of state since ownership!

You will need detailed maps to find some of these routes. I enjoy the security of pricey $26+ maps in the car when out wasting gas in the CS!

Please share your routes. Gator Bite started something.

Legend

AAA: Green, scenic, great for spirited cruising, low to moderate traffic, twisties
A: OK. May not be the best reason to put senseless miles on the Cayman
B: Looks nice on map but possibly overrated. IMHO..may not be worth the time.

With respect to RT 219 in Barkhamsted area, there is a beautiful piece of that road that starts at RT 44 and runs up to RT 318. Very twisty and runs along side the lake.
