Why I Love Colorado - See Picture

The picture is taken from my truck, ignore the antenna.

This is one of my favorite routes, West from Morrison, CO to Evergreen, CO on Highway 74. It is a fun road, and can easily be done in a few hours from my house.

This will be my second summer in Denver - can't wait!

Take the same shot with your Cayman in front of that sign and submit it for the calendar next year - I think that would be a good one!

sabritto,

I've never lived in Colorado but my wife and I have friends from all over (Denver, Golden, Bailey and Boulder) the state. We vacation there almost every year.

If you have a long weekend and want another beautiful drive, pick up 40W in Black Hawk/Central City and head towards Utah staying on 40W. When you get to Vernal, Utah you can take 191N right into Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Beautiful country. I could easily live in Colorado with a little prodding.

Enjoy your summer!

Re: Why I Love Colorado - See Picture

I live in Denver and my wife used to make that trip every day (she used to teach at Evergreen Elementary). She gets car sick and HATES that road... but I will most likely make that trip a few times this summer.

Re: Why I Love Colorado - See Picture

I'm glad I drive the road and not anybody else. Not because I get car sick, more because I get jealous.....

Re: Why I Love Colorado - See Picture

Thanks MoWilson329. I will most definately ill check out those routes. I find the 5 minute commute to work turns into a 3 hour drive in the summer months.

Cm'on down this summer, the mountain passes are calling!

Best,

SB

Re: Why I Love Colorado - See Picture

Watch out for the Morrison cops, they love to rake in revenue. Once past the town limits, you just have the sherriff and troopers to watch for plus cyclists, deer, rocks in the road, etc. Very fun road but not without hazards.
