The status of your Cayman's favorite road...

So my Cayman's favorite twistys are all jacked up. My county must have gotten a major infusion of government dollars because they are all tore up for improvement. When I leave the house in any direction I must be super vigilant for all kinds of nasty road work. And when I say improvement in my county it isn't always a compliment. Anyone know why 800 lbs of gravel is only mixed with 10 lbs of tar kind of improvements.

These highly coveted twisties (even noted on motorcycle websites) were once the proud hunting grounds for my croc. Time will tell if they will be good again.

And to add insult to injury on one of the three roads, they added a Sherrif sub-station complete with about 50 patrol cars! I have nothing against law enforcement at all, but this presence will obviously affect my car's ability to get spirited.

What is the status of your Cayman's favorite road(s)?

Perfect! It's "euro" narrow and nicely twisty with a rock face on one side and a drop to the sea on the other. Sorry about your road works. Come up to Washington and try Chuckanut Drive. Best of all....other drivers have the courtesy to pull over when they see me come up behind them.

My best twisty country road use to have two country clubs (one at each end) and a small trap shooting club and car museum out in the middle of no where. It was perfectly empty and surrounded by old farms with land so bad no cows or crops could make the land break-even.

10 years later, I move back to my home town and they've built McMansion up one side and down the other. Its a disaster

I'm in the Hampton Roads where the roads are all tore up (pot holes, shoddy repairs, debris, and lots of congestion). My favorite twisties are in Gloucester about one hour away. Once out of the city, the roads are amazing. It takes me five hours to fully enjoy it.

Waiting for the mountain passes to open up here in Washington. North Cascades Highway over to Winthrop and Chinook pass to Yakima. We have so much snow pack this year! Will be awhile until they clear. Crystal Mountain resort will be open for skiing until at least Memorial day! Wonder if I can fit skis in my Cayman?

Here in Raleigh there are not many fun places to find, However my favorite little is about a 5 hr drive to mountainous Burnsville NC with a pop or maybe 200. Girlfriend has a house in the middle of nowhere and Pensacola is an absolute blast. 1/4 mile straights into hairpin turns with a 50 ft drop into a rocky river.
