Pros: One tap for top up or down; top control via keyfob; audio volume starts each day at "0"
Cons: MUST turn off for dealer service
Have you Installed this Product or Mod?: Yes

SmartTop is an excellent enhancement to my 2014 BS.  After living with "one tap" for top up or top down, I wouldn't do without it.  The keyfob feature is nice, but not critical.  The audio reset to zero is also nice, but not critical.  The need to disable before dealer service is annoying but DEFINITELY NOT a deal breaker.  Installation takes a bit of effort, but it's not hard.

Having had a SmartTop, if I got another Boxster with a crippled top (European Boxsters don't need a SmartTop), I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

2014 BS -- Amaranth Red/Black Top, 14-way Black/Beige, Info/BOSE, Model Delete/Smoking, PLDS, ParkAssist (F&R), PTV, PDK, PASM, Seat Heat/Vent, Light Design, Sport Design wheel, 19" BS wheels, smartTOP
1999 Radical ProSport -- 950# wet, 173 rwhp ('08 GSXR1000), aero downforce w. slicks (~2G lateral)

2014 Boxster.  I installed it a month after I purchased the car.  I have ordered a 718 due 25 July.  I will have Smart Top installed within a week of receiving the car.  Couldn't live without it.  On mine, one click on the remote unlocks the doors, two clicks unlocks the car and rolls down the windows, three clicks unlocks, windows down and the top down.   I put the top down most times as I approach the car and just step into it.  When I get out I hit the close button, turn off the ignition and get out with the top still up.  By the time I am a few steps away from the car it is all closed up and I just lock it.  You can put the top up with three chicks on the remote.  I have never unhooked it when I take it to the dealer for service and they have never said a word about it.  It is possiblel some dealers have a problem with it but mine doesn't.  In fact the salesman said he was going to put it on his Boxster after he saw mine in operation.  So far I only have an extremely good opinion of it.
