KrafTechnik | Now a Supporting Board Sponsor!
Hi all,
Many of you may be familiar with our sister company, Jlevi StreetWerks, LLC. Hopefully, many of you have already worked with us for your BMW, Mercedes, or Mini!
We are proud to announce the launch of our newest store, KrafTechnik, catering exclusively to our Porsche clientele.
With KrafTechnik, we hope to parlay our success in the online sales and distribution of BMW and Mercedes components into an all new market niche. Furthermore, our entry into this niche is marked by our belief that Porsche customers are not adequately served online, and are often forced to find local shops for the quality products they seek - often paying a premium as a result. While there are a number of key differences between KrafTechnik and our other stores, we are confident that our experience, expertise, and enthusiasm give us a keen advantage when it comes to serving our customers, and we are proud to join the hundreds of Jlevi StreetWerks customers who have made the move up to Porsche.
What you can expect from us:
-Meticulous attention to detail and quality - both with our customer service and our products
-Pleasant, Safe, and Enjoyable transactions, whether you spend $50 or $50,000
-A knowledgeable staff dedicated to serving and contributing to the community
-Timely shipping and communication. Our high volume BMW business has lead us to invest in advanced warehousing, shipping, and e-Commerce platforms in order to better serve our customers
Product lines we currently offer: (Not a complete list!) - Vorsteiner
- KW
- Bilstein
- 360 Forged
- H&R

Hey guys,
You are certainly right, I was copying over our company description and didn't read it over carefully. Thanks for catching it

Re: KrafTechnik | Now a Supporting Board Sponsor!
Ed, except your sig pic isn't correct on 2 accounts:
1) You don't have an X51, you have an X51 Intake Manifold on a 3.4L
2) There is at least 1 REAL X51 kit (all components) on a 3.4L on one of the former Nurburgring 24 hour race cars in Germany, and from talking with that team last year I believe they have at least a couple of others running around as well. You'd also have to include any of the TechART cars that are X-51 Intake knock-offs as well under the term X-51 intake manifold "style".

R U serious?
1) I Have an X51 3.4L just like you have a 390HP Cayman GT, are you specific? I don't have the space to put X51 (intake manifolds and plenum, as well as GT3 Throttlebody, custom plumbing with Softronic tuning)
2) There is only one on that team and they did NOT change any engine internals, I spoke with the company who did the work in germany on the 3.4. They emailed me a list of everything changed as well as pics of the engine work. They were part of the build project with me, they provided a lot of information here is one of the emails...
"...before you install the the X51-Intake-System to your 3.4L-Engine you must hang the Engine/Gearbox at the holders ~15mm down with some selfmade spacers. Also you must install some silicon-hoses to fix the X51-Throttle to a new Airbox/Filtersystem and with bigger diameter (complete same size like X51-Throttle). At last you have modified your Engine-Cover because the X51-Intake-Manifold is much higher than OEM-987S parts. And don`t forget to modified the ECU on a Dyno, because you lost now the 987S-OEM Air-door (i don't now the english word for "Resonanzklappe") and the Engine become now much more Air.
Thats it i think"
Dont worry Ken you still have the best cayman, maybe we should do another poll like we did last year,
K-man S vs. Porsches4ed 2 the rematch, last time you won by one vote.

Re: KrafTechnik | Now a Supporting Board Sponsor!
Yes Ed, you should say "SX-51" or something else.
Cayman "GT" is made-up, there isn't a real Cayman GT so no one should get confused.
X-51 is REAL and it means something, it means the entire X-51 package from Porsche, to quote Pete Stout of Excellence Magazine:
"One must also note X51’s $16,900 cost, which adds over 20 percent
to the $81,400 911 Carrera S’s bottom line. So what is X51? Is it a
good option for 997 buyers with a need for speed or the world’s most
expensive intake, exhaust, and remapped ECU? Before you think it’s
the latter, know that ticking the box marked X51 adds far more than
a pair of new mufflers, a revised airbox, and different spark/ignition
tuning. Revised cylinder heads, new exhaust headers, camshafts with
more aggressive profiles, a different Varioram intake plenum, and new
programming for the Bosch Motronic engine management are utilized to
add more grunt to the normal Carrera S’s 3.8-liter flat six. So the 26
horses and 11 lb-ft didn’t come to Weissach so easily, after all."
As for the race teams in Germany there were multiple teams in Germany competing in the 24 hours of Nurburgring in 07, I don't know which team you talked to or who you talked to on that team, but the team I talked to added the cams, heads, headers, plenum, etc. to their 3.4L engine and did their own custom ECU tuning.
If you don't have all the parts, it isn't an X51 package, if you have about 1/2 the parts, maybe you could call it the X25.5 package or something if you don't like SX51. The majority of Porsche enthusiasts who see "X51" on a Porsche would assume that the car in fact has the entire X51 powerkit. Yours doesn't, that's all I am saying, simply listing X51 is misleading.
Now since this topic is really more about a new sponsor than what you have on your car, let's get back to the topic at hand...
