Rich, how do you like your Borla exhaust. I, too, am thinking about installing one on my
'08 CS. Do you find it too loud for street use? Resonance?

Just ordered mine from Mike at AutoAnthing (extension 623) and he gave me a great price, free shipping and great service. Borla has them on back-order, so it will be a couple of weeks it looks like. Under $1500 for CA delivery.

I was *hoping* a vendor or two would chime in -- I really didn't know who to order from.

Since I got no such immediate replies, on 5-June I ordered my borla and SRP from vivid racing -- $1500 + free shipping for the borla.

I talked to Borla who said that 5 were in the process of being built -- and 4 were already spoken for. Vivid tells me I got #5 -- I'm waiting for a ship date.

I personally find the Borla exhaust completely intoxicating! The high end sound and low end gargle are perfect. 100% satisfied with this product! The drone that people speak about is not an issue at all to me.

I heard the youtube video of their race exhaust on the cayman S and it sounds amazing. I'm usually not too conservative on how loud a car is, but that sounds REALLY loud!! Do you think that would be a problem? All my cars have been somewhat loud, but for some reason the video makes that one sound louder than all my previous cars, even the straight piped 135i!!

Since that is a subjective question, let me put it this way. For the AWE exhaust I noticed a graph before that noted an increase of about 2-3DB (if i remember correctly) between the stock and AWE from inside the cabin. Do you think this borla race exhaust will be in the same range or will it be ridiculously loud inside the cabin?

I have one more question as I am really interested in this borla exhaust. I want to give my Cayman S that exotic sound it deserves to have

Anyone in the socal area around LA has the borla exhaust offering to let people hear it? I saw in the other thread there was a guy in Simi valley and a prototype in Calabassis and I was going to ask Dave Borla about that but then I noticed he hasn't been on since April
