Our long time members here will likely remember that we produced some Cayman Club window stickers (2" round) with the old Crocodile style logo on them until Porsche and PCA nixed them. Then we produced (and still have available) some of the PCA Cayman Register window stickers, again 2" round, sticks on the inside of the glass.

Well I have been thinking about producing some new window stickers with the Planet Porsche logo on them. The 2" round stickers seem to be the ones that people want (although I would consider another format if there was an overwhelming majority wanting them - or perhaps even an additional sticker type)

I have also thought about a different way to get them in the hands of our members here to put on their cars. In the past we charged $5 for each sticker to cover the shipping and handling and the cost of making the stickers. I was thinking this time that I might take on more of the costs myself and put it under the "marketing" budget and do something like the following:

Insiders - receive 2 free with SASE
Non-Insiders - receive 1 free with SASE
Additional stickers at $2 each.

SASE = Self Addressed Stamped Envelope (this means all I have to do is stuff your envelope and send it back, as opposed to receiving payment, checking the address, addressing an envelope, affixing postage, stuffing envelope and mailing back. If you can save me some time by providing a SASE then I'll pass that savings on to you!

Decal Design: I envision the Planet Porsche logo in the center of a round decal and around the edge of the decal the site url or something of that nature. If a member would like to submit a suggested design for the decal please reply to this topic thread with a graphic/picture representing what you are suggesting.

The goal of the decal is for members of this site to be able to spot each other as well as to point out to non members of this site how to get here and partake in the fun!

I think that about covers it for now, so what I need to know before a design is finalized is whether or not you'll send me a SASE and put the decal on your car?

I think the 2 inch is the way to go. I'm up for it. I may also buy a current style sticker too.

I'm not sure. I know you love the whole "Planet Porsche" thing, but I still consider this "Cayman Club" (no offense to our 911, Boxster, Cayenne and Panamera friends). I'd be all over a Cayman Club sticker, with the url and possibly reference to "Planet Porsche", but I'm not sure I'd be all that excited about a straight Planet Porsche sticker.

But your price is definitely right, and it's a great way to get additional exposure for the "club". Yeah, I'd probably be in...

Some of you bring up an interesting point, is there a way to make the decal (btw it is the inside of the window vinyl decal just like the PCA and Cayman Register ones that we have now) with say the Planet Porsche logo, URL and then "Cayman Club" on it or something like that, otherwise, as I mentioned the PCA Cayman Register decals are still available. Next people will start wanting multiple colors! The issue with making multiple types of stickers is the up front cost. It is a LOT less expensive to make say 500 stickers of 1 design vs 100 of 5 different designs.

Last time I used the same source that PCA uses for its stickers which I can use again, unless one of our members has a more cost-effective source. ???

Would our new sponsor (Sweetgfx) be able to whip up some sort of cool design or decal that could be used and affixed on the inside of our vehicle windows?

I might be totally off-base on what they do but perhaps a thought?

Just joined the PCA and received their "official" sticker...have it right next to the Cayman Register PCA sticker...a Planet Porsche sticker would look great next to them...

Well, I can't control what you take from my comments, but I tell you no offense was intended. I like the Boxster (and the 911, and the Cayenne, and...), but enjoyed this site being about the car I chose. Granted, our two particular models share a lot in common.

Opinions were being sought, I gave mine. I think we know your's. All is right with the world.
