2nd Group Buy on External Grilles
Post ONE now taken over with relevant information on the Grilles
Kits for the Generation ONE Cayman.
(Note All Cayman Grille Kits come WITHOUT the Zunsport Logo)
Kit 1 with be just the 2 outer Grills
Kit 2 will be 3 grilles for the manual (2 outers & Centre to fit the Blanked off Center Frame)
Kit 3 will be 3 grilles for the tiptronic (or anybody that has put the center rad in) (2 outers & centre to fit open center frame)
At the moment only Kit 1 is available for the 987 Boxster:
Confirmed Price is £99.00 (approx $163)for Silver: £119.00 (approx $196) for Black
Cayman Pricing is now set as follows:
Kit1 in silver will be £107.23 (approx $176)
Kit2&Kit3 in silver will be approx £177.63 (approx$292.50)
The Black involves more and they will be slightly more expensive, @+£10 ($16.46)/grille
Anyway this is what you’ve been waiting for:……….Surprisingly the Silver look much better than I anticipated, albeit a little “Bling”
Boxster Grill is only available as Kit 1 (the outer grills only) at the moment,

Q&A Section.
Q"Do you and zun-sport feel that this size of mesh doesn't restrict the airflow to the radiators?"
A)The following company's have tested the "Airflow" of the Grills.
Citroen Peugeot, Bentley, Aston Martin, Jaguar. All have come back with the answer that in all cases it has made NO MEASUREABLE DIFFERENCE to the airflow, and in Jaguars case. They actually reported an increased airflow with the grille fitted !!
...so I wouldn't expect that we will have any problems. Again this is the business that Zunsport are in, they only make automotive grilles, and therefore would expect them to know what they are doin

"Due to continued demand I will start a new list for those interested in the Cayman, CaymanS &987 Boxster Grille Kits.
All Details can be found at Post 1 of this thread.
2nd Order List for Cayman (Gen 1 only)"
My car is a 2009 model so I presume the Kit 3 I want won't work.
When do you expect to have availability for newer Caymans?

Re: 2nd Group Buy on External Grilles
Allan,
I thought I would post this message here, since it is the latest thread on the grilles...I have installed the grilles and as expected...THEY LOOK GREAT!
I took some "out of the garage" shots right after the install...here they are...
I will take more in a better setting...
These grilles look so good, they look as if they are OME...and easy to install...good work Allan...
Regards,
Tom

Re: 2nd Group Buy on External Grilles
Allan,
My apologies if this has been asked and answered before.
Once fitted, can the grilles be relatively easily detached to allow for cleaning out of fine debris in the radiator pods? ... or are they fixed permanently?
Thanks
John H
