New Cayman S Race Exhaust System Released

    Hey Fellas,

I want to announce the release of our new Cayman S Race Exhaust System. This system has been designed and built by Lucas Fabrication in Orange County, CA.

    • 2.5" 304 Stainless steel construction
    • Custom built stainless race Mufflers
    • Gains are +15HP and +21lb.ft. TQ at 3500 RPM
    • Impressive mid range gains from 2500 RPM to 5500RPM
    • Mufflers mount to factory brackets. Complete bolt on installation.
    • Lucas Fabrication's signature X-Pipe design

These systems are offered through Hergesheimer MotorSports at an introductory price of $2200.
Units are made to order, and require a deposit to begin construction. Expected wait time until shipping is 2 weeks. Dealer inquiries welcomed. I will entertain group buys of 5 or more, quantity will determine final pricing.

System pictured has been installed and dyno tested.

Picture of axle clearance while suspension is loaded. We made sure to give enough clearance for lowered track cars to clear the axle. Every aftermarket exhaust system I have seen on a Cayman S rubs the axle under track conditions.

Sounds AMAZING Eric. Very clean sounding race exhaust, most just sound like dying turkeys. Also, very impressive low-end gains.

I guess it will, good luck with that project, however I can recommend the standard PSE on the CR. Probably not the loudest but one of the most "Porsche-like" sounds you can get. Having listened to the same system on the CS, there is for sure an improvement on the R, down to other tweaks made to the exhaust, or so I've understood.

Yeah, I test drove a CR with PSE and I have a PSE on my RS60 and does sound very nice and what I believe Porsche should sound like. However on my new CR, I want to save some weight and have something a little louder then PSE as it won't be a daily driver. Hope you're enjoying your new CR!

I cannot say for sure until we test fit one. I have not seen or had a Cayman R to try it out on yet.
