93 octane
Honolulu cayman clubbers, does anyone know if 93 octane gasoline is available in HNL? if yes, where?
i've been filling up at the chevron near starbucks at the koko marina shopping center and its premium is only 92 octane.
i realize that the engine's "Electronic Octane knock control" will adapt the ignition timing if necessary so that the vehicle will operate properly on 92 octane (in fact, the manual also indicates that 90 is acceptable). however, the manual still recommends 93 octane as the engine is designed to provide optimum performance and fuel economy with 93.

That's where I always go. I figured 92 is close enough, but I heard rumours that the Cosmo stand on Keamoku has 93 (though I've never had the chance to check it out).

cosmo? is that the one near the intersection of king and keeaumoku? do you know if its toptier? if not, i guess that i'll be satisfied with the 92 from chevron.
BTW, the location in your sig looks familiar...it looks like the entrance to hanauma bay.

no, haven't found 93 octane yet, but i haven't been searching either (haven't checked out cosmo yet). so i continue to fill at hawaii kai chevron or niu valley 76, both of which are 92 and top tier.

By the way, you're doing pretty well with 92 octane. California is pretty much limited to 91 octane on super unleaded.

Usually it's 100 octane Sunoco. If so, there's a chart on this site to describe how much 100 octane to mix with 92 or 91 to get your desired mix. For me, it's 4 gals 100 octane and fill remainder of tank w/91 octane to get slightly over 93.
