Unfortunately.
On occasion I'm forced to join company with those ghastly BMW driving rubes in my local area of High Point North Carolina. There is no accounting for taste with some folks. One of the curses of owning a Porsche is sharing space with non-Porsche drivers.

Yes, on the last group ride I participated in there were BMWs, a bunch of Ferraris, a MINI or two ... and, even a Corvette!

Re: someine in a silver C4 S...
a vette?? akward. what platform? C5, C6??
lol, why do the p-car guys always hate on the BMW guys?? lol. it's all good stuff. i guess, being from the DC/VA/MD area, it's a bit different, there are ALOT more pre- 993/996/997 guys out there than here, and they love to come hang with us vw/audi guys.
i see tons of caymans on the road, which is awesome, but it seems like there are less PCA owners and pcar fans and just status holders, another reason i guess i lost my love for my 911.
good to see there is a functioning group here for pcars!! do you guys ever have meets and such?? i would love to shoot some photo's and such. get out the nikon and grab some great pics of some stellar cars, and of course..try to coax some of you onto the highway for a run or two :]
anyone up for a run at a 1900lb 409whp 84 VW?

The guy with the C6 Vette also owned a Cayman S.
There is a Cars and Coffee that takes place at Nico's Pier 38 on Saturday at 8 monthly? The last one I recall was on March 14. (I've never attended one due to conflicts with golf and shooting but there are some interesting cars that show up, based upon the pictures that appear on this forum from time to time.)
Thread from a 2008 cars and coffee.
There's a Food Bank run this Saturday. There's another link with details (somewhere)...

I used to shoot regularly 30 years ago (1000 rounds/month), stopped back in 1983. My (much younger) cousins got into shooting in 2007 so I got back into it. I became a member of the Waikiki Gun Club so I can shoot in air-conditioned comfort or at night. FYI, they're open 11-8 Mon-Sat.
I set up a reloading center and am now back to brewing my own loads.
My cousins now picked up "black guns" so we're going to start using Koko Head.
Current Inventory:
S&W Model 28 6" .357mag
Charter Arms Explorer 8" .22LR (looks like a broomhandle Mauser)
Springfield Loaded Target Stainless .45ACP
(I also have a Wilson Combat .22LR conversion kit for the Springfield)
Browning A-Bolt LH .270 2-7x scope
Now that they're into long guns I've been looking for something else ...
Barrett M98 .338 Lapua?

Cool, you have quite an inventory. Since my stint in the US Army with M14 and M16, I've only shot recently in Costa Mesa with my brother-in-law, who has Glocks in 9mm and .45. Maybe it's time to shoot more regularly.
BTW, you enjoying your RS60?

I love this car! It's not cocoa like yours, but it is GT Silver! And, I never thought I would like the sport exhaust but it is interesting as to how it changes the sound and seemingly how it feels.
I drive with the top down almost every time ... my wife says I look younger now!

Yes, totally impractical and really no place to use it on Oahu; not to mention that it costs $5K without the scope and each round costs the same as a plate lunch ...
My uncle has a 20,000 acre ranch on the Big Island so there are lots of game to stalk; problem is my Dad no longer has a 4WD so we can't get up into the hunting area.

What is in that car that makes 409HP? I have a friend looking for a 90-92 Jetta; no idea what he wants to do with it.

Re: someine in a silver C4 S...
Saw an Asian woman driving a silver 997 C4S targa today.
I would give you the link to our PCA page, but the PCA server crashed yesterday. Meetup at Keehi Lagoon park at 10am Saturday, depart 10:30 for Mililani. Lunch at Ruby Tuesdays @ 11:30.

Isn't GT silver a great color? What's your interior color?
