Any Interest in a Private Track Day at Hallett?

moralem in the Texarkana region is trying to gauge interest in renting the track at Hallett (northern Oklahoma) for a day. Basically, it would be limited to about 10 CC members and the base price would be about $160 per person for a mid-week day (8 a.m. - 6 p.m.), which would provide a lot of track time (probably 2 run groups of 5 or less).

This is known as a Test and Tune session at Hallett, so it will not have the usual support, corner workers, instructors, etc. as a DE, so we will probably require that all drivers have completed at least 1 DE prior to attending. There is no specific date set yet, but if you might be interested, please add your name to moralem's thread here: http://www.planet-9.com/u-s-texark...tml#post330734

Just checking to see if anyone out there might have any questions......not seeing any interest yet but would hope to hook a few folks in for a great day of some real solid track time at a very reasonable cost. I was thinking a Thursday letting us get into town on Wednesday afternoon meet up for dinner and organizing for an early start on Thursday. Folks could leave then or we could meet up for dinner, get a good nights sleep and head back hom on Friday morning. Anyone with questions feel free to PM me.

moralem,

I'm certainly willing to consider it, but my schedule is so busy it is going to depend a lot on when it is and what else I have going on.

Hallett is a great track, if a bit rough around the edges, but my guess is you'll get VERY little interest from the local Tulsa population as they can pretty much go to Hallet and drive for about $50-$100 almost any time.

Kansas City BMW runs an event there, hook up with them!

Well that's true to an extent - the track fee is $95/day on HST (High Speed Touring) weekends once a month, for 5 15-20 min. sessions; however that's running with 15-20 other cars on the track.

The private track day Moralem was trying to organize would be limited to 5 cars at a time, with beaucoup track time, for a little more than twice the $.
Anyway, if anyone's interested the next HST weekend is Apr 25-26, and there is a Cimarron Region PCA DE there on May 2-3.

Re: Any Interest in a Private Track Day at Hallett?

Thanks for the clarification. I am still open to finding a day that works for the most folks. Right now with Ken adding his name possibly it looks like we have 4 of us so far. I am even open to getting just 5 guys and me picking up half of the cost of the track day and the rest of the group picking up the other half. I guess I am so convinced of the amount of dedicated track time that it just makes sense to me to try to make this happen and if it works out then see if we can pull it off again. I am sure guys can out out there any weekend and for 100 bucks get some track time, but I am talking about a whole day of track time with no more than two run groups of 5. Anybody else out there intereted PM me so that I can update the list, and the sooner the better so that we can beat the heat. Let me know what y'all think.
