Do you enjoy Porsches and airplanes?

Anyone else going?

I am hoping to do this on Sunday. I've been wanting to see the flying circus for 8 years now. IT will be a busy weekend. Sat I have class and then a formal that night, then if I do this on Sunday, that means I have to take Friday off of work to go to the Joint services airshow at Andrew's Airforce base which is a great military airshow thats open to the public (except on Friday).

Do you enjoy Porsches and airplanes?

Potomac and Zone 2 invite you to attend Porsches and Bi-Wings on May 16 – 17. On May 16, we are offering a tour of the Udvar Hazy Center of the Smithsonian Air and Space Musuem near Dulles International Airport in northern Virginia. The museum tour will be followed by a drive through the Virginia countryside to Warrenton, VA for a great barbeque dinner at Smokey Joe's Cafe. Dinner is $25.00 per person. For those of you who want to stay overnight in the area, Steve and Michelle Carter, your event coordinators, have arranged for discounted rooms at the Comfort Inn in Warrenton, VA. You can contact the Inn directly at 540-349-8900. Just tell the reservation agent that you are with the Porsche Club to get the discounted rate.

On Sunday May 17 everyone will head out to the famous Flying Circus Airshow at the Flying Circus Aerodrome in Bealeton, VA. The Flying Circus Airshow offers parachute jumpers, wing walkers and barnstormers. And the Flying Circus has dedicated Sunday as Porsche Day. The gates will open for the Potomac group at 9:00 AM. The Flying Circus set aside dedicated parking for our Porsches and we'll have in informal wash and shine concours. We'll even take pictures of your cars and the bi-planes. There is a fee of $25.00 per person that covers entry into the airshow and a catered lunch from Smokey Joes. If you don't want lunch, the fee is $10.00 to cover entry into the Airshow. & nbsp;

Please contact Steve or Michelle Carter at dutchmansetter@yahoo.com to register for the event. We need to know how many are coming to plan for lunch. For more information about the Flying Circus Airshow go to Flying Circus Aerodrome & Airshow For more information about the National Air and Space Museum Udvar-Hazy Center go to National Air and Space Museum Steven F. Re: Do you enjoy Porsches and airplanes?

Well, judging by the interest we may have to break this up into several caravans so we don't shut down the streets.

I see that it's still supposed to rain all weekend but I hope to still make it out to this on Sunday. If anyone else is going let me know...

Re: Do you enjoy Porsches and airplanes?

I would love to go but I fly back tomorrow and won't be in town for the weekend. Sounds like a good time though! I can certainly recommend the air/space museum at the Dulles airport (Udvar-Hazy), everyone should check out that place at some point, some really cool stuff in there including the Enola Gay and the space shuttle Enterprise
