Best place to get rid of small dents and dings?

Ironically, on the way back from the German auto show (Deutsche Marque), a couple rocks kicked up on the way home and I found a small dent/big ding just ahead of my rear wheel well.

Is there anyplace in particular that is recommended for a quick ding fix in Northern Virginia? (BMW of Fairfax had a company called DentMasters which showed up once a month on Mondays, wonder if local dealers have something similar...)

Thanks!

I'm not in your area but do recommend giving serious consideration to the franchise repair shops the dealers use. If you show up at the dealership the day they are they it might even be done at dealer prices or free to you. These folks do this kind of repair daily for different dealers so they usually have their act down.

I was just wondering given the softness of the Cayman paint, if there were certain repair places to use or not to use.

Thanx, SF!

Re: Best place to get rid of small dents and dings?

I had a pretty large dent removed on my door by a Dent Wizard franchise my dealer (Ray Catena Porsche) uses.

If the paint isn't chipped or cracked, the chance of a successful repair is very high. Of course there may be certain spots on the body that are inaccessible, but a good repair person will tell you before the work begins so that you can set your expectations.

For the location you described, the repair person can stick a tool between the body and the rear wheel liner, or get access via the air intake vent.

Good luck!

Dent Wizard does work with the local BMW dealer. I'll check to see which Porsche dealers use them or equivalent, and schedule the repair when I bring my car in for its 12,000 mi service (sometime this summer the way things are rolling). Thanks for the info. I always wonder whether "standard" body tools work with our cars and this paint.
