Photos Northern NJ DE at LRP (Photos added)

I found out that Northern NJ is having a DE event at Lime Rock on April 15 and 16. I contacted Norther NJ PCA and there is still plenty of room left for most run groups. I'm seriously considering signing up for this DE as my local PCA chapter ,CVR, is sold out for their DE in April and there won't be anymore until the summer. Are any of you NJ and NY guys attending this event?

Re: Northern NJ DE at LRP

Aaron, will you be instructing? Maybe I can bring my helmet and get a ride-along (with the track chair's permission of course) for one session, I've never been on the "new" track.

Re: Northern NJ DE at LRP

I'm there also, Atlas Gray #981. This is my first time with NNJR and they have me in the Blue run group. I run solo with CVR so I'm hoping to get cleared for White.
Do you guys get together in one area in the paddock? I usually park opposite the tower on the back edge of the paved area nearest the "Left Hander". I'm hoping for good weather, the CVR ran this last Monday and it rained most of the day.

I'm bleeding brakes this weekend preping for Wednesday and Thursday.

Re: Northern NJ DE at LRP

I'll be there nice & early as I'm the gate steward. It would be great to gather the Cayman mafia in one place. Attendance is relativley light so space shouldn't be a problem. Blue & white will be running together. NNJR is usually very conservative on placing drivers from other orgs. I you normally run solo & don't scare your instructor too much he'll sign you off quickly. lol

So that's the secret, don't scare the instructor, too much... I'll have to remember that,

don't scare the instructor
don't scare the instructor
don't scare the instructor...

I think I can do that, I think....

Re: Northern NJ DE at LRP

Look forward to seeing everyone there.

I'll make a last minute choice of Wednesday or Thursday based on the weather report. I want to make sure everyone's photos are taken in the best "light" possible!

I'm also working on possibly getting a media pass so that I won't have to work around those pesky fences. You guys better not slide into me!

Re: Northern NJ DE at LRP

@ Jayman I overheard this advice once from an instructor to his student (jokingly of course).

"Don't try to impress me because you can not,
Don't try and scare me because I already am"

Re: Northern NJ DE at LRP

I received an email from my instructor, Chuck Veth. This is only the second time I was contacted ahead of the DE by an instructor, I think it's a good sign. He asked what I'd like to work on and at the end of a short list I suggested driving his 996 GT3 but I don't think that will happen..

Re: Northern NJ DE at LRP

Jayman- I know Chuck. He was my instructor 2 years ago. Good technical instructor. He used to drive a 964 Turbo/Cup Car and participated in a One Lap of America race. Unfortunately, he's not one to sign off people after their first or second runs. Enjoy your time with Chuck who is a CVR instructor and therefore runs Lime Rock as a 'home' track.

Re: Northern NJ DE at LRP

I have been waiting to get signed off by a White run group instructor to advance to White, maybe Chuck can do it if he is a CVR instructor.

Don't scare the instructor
