OK, the other thread is all mixed up so I'm starting a clean sheet for those that would like to head out for a nice drive on the North Fork of Long Island for the "ROE" event.

Meet @ Champion Motors in Jericho between 7:30 and 8:30AM.
Head east on the LIE @ 8:30 sharp.
gonzo will meet us about 45 minutes further east.

Well, for a nearby lunch, there is a pizza place (http://www.paganos.com/) just a bit further east on the same road as Pindar Vineyards. Its in a small shopping center that seemed fairly quiet yesterday afternoon.

I'll be coming from the Boston area, so I'll try to take the New London-Orient ferry as well. What time does evryone think they'll be getting to Pindar? And, MysticCS, we've never met, but if you want to coordinate meeting at the ferry that's cool. They leave on the hour. Maybe we could meet at the 10am or 9am).....

If the weather holds, I want to get the main group there as close as possible to the show opening, 10AM or so.

As we saw last week, for shows like this, the earlier the better. If we had gotten to F40 30 minutes later, we would've had to park on the road.

I've really been trying to figure out a way to attend but we've got family coming for the weekend and for some reason my wife thinks it would be rude of me to bail out....women.

Sorry Mutant Tuna, good suggestion but we'll meet some other time. One of these days we will put together an Eastern Nor'Easter event.

Seems like we're all getting "run out" between Hershey & F40 last week. The weather forecast is looking nicer now at least.

For now I'm still planning to go since I've never seen that area of Long Island. Anyone else?

The weather is back to looking good now for Saturday! I'm fighting a cold and plan to stay inside all day tomorrow to rest up. What else do I have to do anyway?

A word of caution. As we travel east through Riverhread on the local roads, there is one traffic circle, called roundabout by the Garmin GPS units, that we will encounter. It seems there are many drivers who do not know that traffic in the traffic circle or rotary has the right of way. Just be careful entering and exiting to avoid others.

At least they go in the proper direction here. Just wait until you get back to the UK with your LHD car and go through a roundabout the first time.

We had a small crew today and the weather was gray, but dry! There were only a handlful of Porsches, including our four Caymans. The Italians (Ferrari and Alfa) were the champs in attendance...

We'll have a short break of organized events until June and the big Lake Placid weekend.

So I'm trying to attach a picture of the front wheel of a Ferrari F430 Scudderia (please pardon my spelling). The brake disk must have been 18"!!
