Danbury Porsche will be having an "open house" this weekend at the dealership and all PorschePlanet folks are invited to stop by.

They'll have some 3rd party vendors on hand (including Escort I'm sure) to answer any questions and a few "special" Porsches will be on display.

The usual battery of food, drinks and test drives of the new 2009 models will be offered.

We don't want the CT guys to feel left out of this very busy weekend!

Just got home a little while ago and I'd like to thank the folks at Danbury Porsche for the open house. We were well represented as a number of members rolled in from morning to early afternoon.

My brother-in-law and I got to road test a regular Cayman with PDK. I think the transmission is really good, and a must if your car is an everyday car driven in traffic. Having said that, I still prefer my stick. I know my brother-in-law really liked driving the car as well. I thought the power was pretty good except in a few instances where the tranny shifted and then she was a little sluggish. If you keep the revs up the car is just fine.

A special thanks to Mike Kileen for taking the time to give us the road test.

Traitor! I'm going to tell Gino and he's going to pull your GT3 allocation and give it to me!

I did see Gino yesterday and yes, Ray Catena does have a free 2010 GT3 build slot available! I almost fell out of the chair when he told me, so much for my poker face.

But the dynamic engine mounts and front lift system are not available this early in the build cycle, so pffft, I'll pass!
