PCA Canadian Western ZONE Drivers' Ed

Any one received PCA Western Zone e-mail as to the Drivers' Ed program in Mission Raceway for Monday, May 7th. Wondering how many Cayman owners are attending? It would be GREAT if a group of Caymans show up for this event.

Go to the above web site to get more info. The cost is around $250 - 300.
ProFormance is the school that is holding the event for PCA Canada West @ Mission Raceway. I took this program about 15 years ago? I think, my instructor was Ross Bentley of Cart fame. You supply your own car at your own risk. The program is strictly education for better driving, but you do get to lap the track at your own pace.

We would have to register as non members since we are from alberta and cant register until the 16th of april. but it would be a good opportunity for me and the wife to learn how to really drive the car before we head east to michigan.

Below is the PCA-CWR e-mail update on the Driver's Ed Program. Non PCA member can register as of this coming Monday, April 16.
Any Zone 6 members attending?

Greetings fellow PCA-CWR Members!!

Registration for the May 7th Driver Education event is ramping up, and we’re all looking forward to a great day at the track! Please note that registration for non-PCA members will open on Monday April 16th…which is only 4 short days away. The May event has sold out in previous years, so we encourage you to register now to secure your spot. Registration for the May 7th event closes on Monday April 30th.

For both the May 7th and September 17th events, professional instruction will be provided by ProFormance Racing. No matter how accomplished a driver you are, you will leave these events with additional skills and confidence, which will make you a safer driver on the street. There is no better way to learn about the handling capabilities of your car - You owe it to yourself and your Porsche to attend!!

Cost for the May 7th event is $225 including tax. Pre-registration is required.

To register for this event, please visit the PCA-CWR website at:

http://www.pca-cwr.org/index.php?mod..._position=11:7

Please also review the DE Event Rules and Tech Inspection information on the website. For more information regarding Driver Education, please email Ian Manning at imivan@telus.net. For registration information, please email Don Burnett at cwr.de.registrar@gmail.com.. We'll see you at the track!!

Your 2007 DE Committee,

- Don Burnett / Owain Davies / Ian Manning / Rich Sandor
