Car is in WA, but I am in NYC.
OK, so I got a Cayman from a dealer in Ohio... could not pass up $9,000 off and a very honest lease deal. I had to pay $1,400 to ship the car, and it arrived in WA yesterday. I assume that they will bring it to my house in the next day or so.
This is all great, except that I am in New York... my wife teases me that she will take it shopping!
But anyway, I am a PCA member and hop to see you all at Pacific Raceways.

Hey, I am here in WA, and perfectly willing to start breaking it in for you. I am traveling from Sammamish (home) to Semiahmoo (condo) on Thursday, and I can introduce your car to Chuckanut Drive. Whoosh!
Seriously, congrats on the new Cayman. Mine now has 1,200 miles. I'm planning on a DE in the spring at Pacific Raceways.

Yes, Native American names are very common here in Washington. Many are the names of tribes from this area, and even the city of Seattle was named after an Indian Chief. Semiahmoo, translates to Half-Moon-Bay and Sammamish must mean Too-Much-Traffic-at-Rush-Hour-Caused-by-Microsoft-Employees. This is a beautiful place to live, and drive curvy roads.

You're correct, meant to say "break it in", not "break it", but the latter is probably more accurate.

He, he, this little forum seems to be infested with track heads.
I like it!
I will try to attend every Audi Club day with the Audi, and some of the PCA days with the Cayman. Although I bought the Cayman with commuting in mind, and then as a backup car for the track. It is for when the Audi is broken, and that is quite a lot.
I will see you all at PIR and PR... please post here before you head out. And I will look for you.

Great idea! (Chuckanut Drive) I have taken my SL on it, but haven't had a chance with my CS. Maybe Zone 6 can do a Drive & Greet in Spring/2008
Anyone interest?

I'm in. I just came back down from Blaine today, and it wasn't raining, so I diverted over to Chuckanut Drive (sans the wife). Good for the soul. The straight stretch south of the twisties, was a great place for a dead stop with no other cars in sight to crank it up, since I just completed the break-in period. What a beautiful sound.

+1 For interest
Whereabouts, generally, is Chuckanut Drive? I assume western WA. (Bellevue/Bremmerton/Bothel/Bellingham/Burien/Burlington?)

Correct! I think it starts from just outside Bellingham. I will look into the logistics early next year, & keep everyone posted.

Coming from the south it essentially starts NW of Burlington (kind of more towards Anacortes on Hwy20), really starting around Edison, and then north to Bellingham along the bay. A really incredible drive.
