Puget Sound Area

Anyone here from the greater Puget Sound area? I have yet to see a Cayman in the wild, though I know they are out there.

Plasma - I'm not from Puget Sound, but if time and $ permit I hope to go to the Porsche Parade in Oregon this summer. Any great driving roads around Puget Sound that are a "must do" while I'm in the Northwest? I'm thinking maybe ocean views, wineries, etc? ==RedEye

RedEye,

I'm going to Portland for the Parade, too... and though I don't live up there now, I did a while ago and I'll recommend this: From Portland, cross the Columbia River and take I-5 to Longview, (or take hwy 30 from Portland to Astoria, then cross the river there and take 101 north) then take Hwy 4 to 101 north along the western side of the Olympic peninsula, around the tip and into Port Angeles - from there you can contiue east across the Hood canal, and then take a ferry into Seattle, or from Port Angeles, you can take the ferry to Victoria on Vancouver Island. The ride along the coast of the Olympic is simply amazing. I'm planning on something like this after the parade myself.

I'm in Redmond; have a Speed Yellow Cayman S. I've seen 3 other Cayman in the wild around here.

RedEye - I'm not a native, but I've always been partial to driving through Rainier National Park. You go through some very nice elevation changes, windy roads....and you have a great view outside your windows.

sleepless - Well good to know there are some people out there. We're up in the Bothell area.

Sure hope we have some more weekends like this last one....nothing like canceling your plans to spend the day driving in the sun.

The Willamette Valley (Dundee, Newberg, etc) is always fun. Great wine too!
