Zone 6 * spotted * list
Well browsing through all the posts in the zone 6 section and doing a search on the forum as a whole didn't turn up a spotted list for our zone 6 so I thought I'd start one.
Spotted July 23 - Artic Silver in Kent, made a left in front of me from 212th onto Benson.
Spotted May - Lapis Blue CS parked on the street near Wallingford area of Seattle.
If you guys are on the forums just wanted to say Hello .

Great idea! There are so few in this area.
May - Black / black CS, with sport chrono, vanity plate "CAYMANS" (or similar) in old Safeway parking lot in Bellevue
June - Speed Yellow / black w/b on Overlake Drive in Medina

Exchanged waves with another Arctic Silver headed in the opposite direction on SE Newport Way in the Lakemont area of Bellevue today.

Seen someone in a black one two days in a row, once down in Renton turning onto 7th and another time heading down the hill from benson into Renton. Any chance you're a member here?

Re: Zone 6 * spotted * list
Could have been me. I have a basalt black metallic base w/ sand beige inside. Yesterday I found myself next to a black CS on 405 on the way in, in the morning. Kind of like yours?

I live up on the Olympic peninsula pretty definitely will be ordering one of the new upgraded Caymans for spring 2009 delivery. How has your dealer experience been?

Re: Zone 6 * spotted * list
nwwoods, I guess theres another basalt on the south side of Seattle then because my car is Meteor Grey. Both times that I've seen your car I've been driving my bad weather commuter a dirty gold colored real beater of a 1992 Nissan Maxima, I can't wait to get rid of that car, but its been too reliable for me to trade up and it's the wife's turn to get a new car now.
I'm planning to go to Pacific Raceways for the PCA events when the weather gets better next spring, Any chance I might see you there?

Re: Zone 6 * spotted * list
Barrier treated me fairly well the one time I have been there so far (1 yr service). I didn't buy the car from them, I thought their Sales attitude was "this is Bellevue, we don't have to discount". Well then, you don't have to have my business! The Service people and Parts people are easy to work with, and you can walk around the Service bays and ogle the other cars there, and nobody will challenge you. That's fun.
My "gold standard" is Acura of Bellevue. Nobody can touch them for total commitment to service and customer satisfaction after the sale, in my book. My wife bought a *used* TL from them seven years ago, and they *still* get it right the first time, they still give her a nice loaner no questions asked, they still wash and vacuum it every time, they still have free espressos, fresh fruit and work kiosks with high speed internet, and they still follow up with a phone survey 100% of the time, even for oil changes. Our experience with them really changed the way I thought about dealers, and helped us to appreciate the value of a commitment to service and a positive relationship with their customers.

I've found the people there to be friendly as well, they threw me the keys for the test drive and got me hooked. But like you mentioned when it came time to talk to them about the price, I ended up going elsewhere and buying from Carerra Motors down in Oregon. Exactly the same color/options for $4k less.
I think part of the unwillingness to negotiate is that Barrier is the only Porsche dealer with any kind of inventory in this part of WA state.

Guys there said you were getting an SRX installed along with wheel powder coating. Would like to see some pics of those finished wheels if you're on this site.

I live in Sammamish, but was unable to work with the Barrier Sales folks a year ago, and ended up buying my Cayman from Roger Jobs in Bellingham. The Service group at Barrier is great, though. I just spent several trips to finally resolve the "trunk clunk" problem. While there today, a silver Cayman came in and parked next to me, but I was unable to talk to him, since it was so hectic at 5:00 PM.
I see a lot of Caymans in the Bellevue, Redmond and Sammamish area. My wife and I also have a condo in Semiahmoo in Blaine, and never spot one on the road up there.

Reminded me:
Arctic Silver CS eastbound on Bel-Red Road, Sunday Jan 4th, mid afternoon, xxx-WGO. Either the Arctic Silver drivers are really getting around, or there are more of them than any other color...

I see Caymans all the time. Blue leaving WaMu garage on Union last night. Another Blue roaming the MS campus. But, there is only one 1MORLAP in WA...

Re: Zone 6 * spotted * list
I'd be down for a casual get together. Tukwila has SyKart or we could meet in Redmond at F1Speed. Also if you're interested in a drive when we get some better weather, Tomasz is gauging interest here: http://www.planet-9.com/u-s-northw...tml#post330963

Re: Zone 6 * spotted * list
Saw a white CS parking near the Efeste winery in the "warehouse district" of Woodinville on Sat Feb 7th. Large script lettering along the bottom of the doors reading "Cayman S". I assume that is aftermarket?

Hi,
I am here in Birch Bay every weekend. Look me up next time you are up by Semiahmoo. BTW, the resort is having a heck of a deal for Happy Hour, 4-6pm appies are 1/2 price & micro brew is a buck off.
