Meet up.
OK, I think the weather is there, now we will need to see if we can make the local Cayman meeting a reality.
Let me propose these dates:
May 9th or 16th or 23rd. (All Saturdays)
Now there are three or more themes: - Meet at XXX Root Bear and talk cars have brunch
- Meet on a nice stretch of road and go for a 2-4 hour drive
- Meet at someones house for a BBQ and perform either Plenum or Exhaust install on one or more cars
What does everyone think?

Re: Meet up.
I would lean toward idea 1 or 2. But, any of the 3 sound good. Right now, any of the 3 dates work fine.
Thanks for suggesting the meet up.

Re: Meet up.
All 3 sound fun to me, option 3 would be my personal choice as I'd like to see an install first hand.
Only the 3rd date (the 23rd) works for me. Out of town on business the next two weeks.

Re: Tomasz
I have a full Saturday free on the 23rd. It is memorial Day weekend BTW, so if you are going away... this may not be best.
Peter was looking into getting a shop to dyno/install something. I can do the same. Would you rather go to Bremerton or Kirkland?
I say we combine #2 and 3. Meaning meet at a dyno place, and then the same or smaller group could take off for a nice drive.
So, can I have a show of hands:
May 23rd - are you free? Would you be interested in paying to have your car dynoed? In order to get a dyno shop to open on a Saturday we will need a number of people that will sign up. Think $100. We would organize an afternoon drive either way, dyno or no dyno.

Re: Meet up.
OK, here are the details:
- Minimum 5 cars or 5 strap downs
- $75 per strap down (as many runs as needed to get a consistent reading)
- No AWD 911s, but Audis are OK
- No tuning on the dyno at this rate. But if you want to dyno your car, remove it and have someone else dyno while you flash your car and the dyno again, that is 2 x $75 and counts as 2 against the minimum 5 we need.
- For accurate readings RPM pickup must be taken, to do that they remove the engine cover. But that is the ONLY way to get an accurate reading.
- I am not getting a free dyno out of this. Maybe if we get 10 people

- Ken, these guys are not an advertiser, but at this point we do not have a critical mass in WA for this to matter. Let us off the hook on this one.
- Kirkland is the location
- Bring USB stick, and take your data home.
I have the day penciled in till Friday of this week. So, now its real. Who is in?

Re: Meet up.
Count me in if its on the 23rd, the dyno + drive sounds good to me. My car's basically stock (not sure if I should count desnork), it will be nice to have the baseline before putting on some real performance mods.

Re: Meet up.
OK, we need two more people since I will dyno my car as well. For $75 - why not! Peter, would you like me to see if they would let you and me install your SRP in their shop? The tools are very simple, and I could just bring them with me. Last time they installed my FabSpeed is 20 minutes. He charged me for 20 minutes of labor! I told him not to align it, I did that at home, spending another hour or so.
Actually, SRP install can be done outside - we do not even need to ask! Then connect to their WiFi and get you car flashed. We could dyno pre and post.

Re: Meet up.
Guys:
We have three people. We need 5. Are the two of you willing to pre-pay? If you do not show up, you loose the $75. If yes, I will offer the shop an option of keeping our reservation, but charging us today. I would do that by you calling the shop, I do not want to be in the middle.
Let me know if you are so in that you are willing to pre-pay, I will ask them to install my headers or somethign like that and that maybe enough work for them to open on Saturday.
Unless someone (Peter?) wants SRP installed.

Re: Meet up.
Seems we need to recruit more NW region members to this site . I'm fine with pre payment but could you PM me the shop's name/number and who to ask for? It's too bad my catback isn't here yet would be great to get that installed with a pre-post dyno on the same day.

Re: Tomasz
I will call them on Saturday or Monday and set this up. With 3 pre-pays, and potentially doing pre and post they maybe good to go. I will let you know.

Re: Meet up.
...just responding to the 23rd dyno session. I do not want to get my car dyno'd. But, will you let the rest of us know where, in case we would like to observe?

Re: Meet up.
OK, I will call the shop on Monday to see if they can open for the three of us.
BUT, irrespective of that, we will meet up on the 23rd and do something. If we do end up dynoing few cars - great, and others ARE welcome to come and watch.
Once I confirm the shop, I will post its Kirkland address. If we end up skipping the dyno alltogether, I expect that we will meet up in Issaquah at the XXX or Kirispy Kreme for a light breakfast and then a drive.
As to a drive, if we do end up going to the dyno, I recommend we then hit HWY 2 and go twards the pass. If we meet in Issaquah, then Mt. Rainier maybe a better place to go. But I am open to suggestions.
How does that sound?
Tomasz
