Pacific Raceways July 29th DE

Just completed my registration for the July 29th PCA DE at Pacific Raceway, going to be my first time on the track, can't wait!

Anyone else planning to be there?

Any tips for a first timer?

Peter, I swear you're going to get me in trouble with the wife...I took your advice about not telling anyone and the SRP could perhaps be in the mail as of yesterday.. will neither confirm or deny lol .

I plan to dyno the Borla to see how much I've gained from my base runs and then install SRP/Flash and dyno again. I'll be counting for 2/5 dynos necessary for the group discount so hopefully you, me and Tomasz can find at least one more to meet the 5 dyno minimum.

I know we had a few who expressed interest in the last dyno get together, hopefully they'll still want to come the next time we set up a dyno day. maybe mid July?

Re: Pacific Raceways July 29th DE

Well yesterday was the hottest day of the year so far here in WA which also happened to coincide with PCA's DE event. Thanks to the tarmac and other hot engines surrounding my spot in the paddock, I was "lucky enough" to see my car post the exterior temp at 121. Realistically once we got moving down the main straight that cooled off to 106, but temp aside had a fantastic time. It was my first time on the track and wow is it addicting, wish I was out there again today. I was careful not to scare my instructor, as that seems to be the golden rule for novice drivers. In return I was able to learn a lot about how to safely push my car a little harder each lap increasing entering/exit speed of corners and the straights. I snapped a few pics and will try and upload them this evening.
