Well, As you know, the Cayman isn't selling very well. I suggest you drive bya Porsche dealer where they are piling up on the lot if you want to see one.

The surprise is there is still no discount here in Vancouver??? The dealer have about 5 in their inventory. Do you have better luck in your area seeing other owners?

Finally saw my first Cayman S (other than my own) in Greater Vancouver. It was this past Saturday at Parker Place Mall in Richmond. A silver Croc S with 19' Carrera wheels.

I am seeing the Cayman S with regularity in my drives. There are quite a few in this area and probably a percentage of them are spending a good part of every day in the owner's garage.

mpollard where are you located? Recent drives down I5 to Seattle didn't net any sightings. Got lots of thumbs up on my CrocS. Went to Seattle's only Porsche Dealers 'Barrier Porsche', they only have one Speed Yellow left.

I have a loaded speed yellow picked up from MCL on April 7, factory ordered in Dec. 05 for Feb build.
I have only ever seen two others on the road, both silver and one had Sask. plates.

ARCHITECT As mentioned b/f only seen a Silver in Richmond, haven't seen your Yellow Croc S. Do you drive it daily? If you travel to Downtown Vancouver, I will keep an eye out for your beauty.

So far only one other spotted in Edmonton - the first one they sold, to a long time Porsche guy. I believe mine is the second Cayman S here.
Saskatchewan plates? There's no dealer there, so a bit of a hike for service!

Wow, only one sold in Edmonton! The 07's are coming in soon, guess they will have to discount all the 06 S's in stock.

Hi ploc36,
I am considering the 07 CS,how is yours with the PASM ? Should I order my with the 19' wheels and PASM ? I am still thinking about after market wheels...the stock options are not too exciting.
Did youdeal with MCL, did you get reasonable price and service ?
Hope to see you soon in town...

PASM - Porsche Active Suspension Management
|
|
This active damping system offers continuous adjustment of individual damping forces based on current road conditions and driving style.
The driver can choose from two setup modes, ‘Normal’ and ‘Sport’, using a separate ‘damper’ button on the center console. ‘Normal’ mode is designed for general road driving and circuits with uneven tarmac. ‘Sport’ mode is intended for smoother track surfaces, where the harder settings help eliminate pitch and roll.
In either mode, PASM continuously evaluates the current conditions while automatically selecting the corresponding damper rates from the respective set of mapped values.
A range of sensors are used to monitor the movement of the body under acceleration, braking and cornering maneuvers, as well as on poor road surfaces. The PASM control unit then evaluates this data and modifies the damping force on each individual wheel in accordance with the selected mode. The result is a significant reduction in body movement as well as a better grip on the road.
For example: if ‘Sport’ mode is selected, the suspension is automatically set to a harder damper rating. If the quality of the track surface falls below a certain threshold, the system immediately changes to a softer rating within the ‘Sport’ setup range. When the quality of the tarmac improves once more, PASM automatically returns to the original, harder rating.

Lol. I have a yellow CS. I also live in Pt Grey, and I have the same commute downtown as you do, except I work in Cathedral Place. I've seen two other crocs in Vancouver - a silver one downtown, and a dark blue one near UBC.
