New owner in western NC (almost NE Georgia)

just bought a grey 2006 cayman s last week from Hennessy Porsche with 18

my wife asked me if i was going to sleep in it. i would have if i wasn't 6'4"

i have been in this area for a long time and could set anyone up with a route that would rock your crock!

i'm not talking about the roads that everyone knows and uses but the ones that are twisty/nasty that are not used much and provide some thrilling rides and hardly ever any blue light types.

i have joined the porsche club of america and when that comes in i'll update my user profile and kick in a little $$.

thanks for having such an informative site and looking forward to being a part of the forum.

now if i could figure out how to get some of those nice stereo's in around the bose stuff without losing any of the speakers and making a hack job of it.

guess there are no plug in solutions?

Welcome Mr. Zippy!

Boy have you found the right place for your car! I too am from WNC (Asheville) and know all about the roads in this area. In fact, they are so popular with the Cayman Club that a member named "spindoc" created what is now known as Rock-n-Croc events (most recent one was Rock-n-Croc III) which always have routes through WNC, GA, SC and TN. But we would always love more local knowledge of new roads.

There are many discussion threads on aftermarket sound systems, and be careful with your Bose and there are sticky areas when dealing with the fiber optics and know what to cut and dice and what to leave alone. Search the "articles" area of the forum for many do it yourself guides on just about anything you can think of, including audio systems.

Welcome and enjoy the best automotive forum on the net!

Lots of roads meeting your requirements in n. GA, NW SC, NC and TN area that are not "The Dragon". Just go for a drive in the area.
