Destin Porsche...GREAT experience.

It seems like the Panhandle is not nearly as busy as South FL, but we have our own Porsche dealership now! So, maybe things will pick up around here.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know that Destin Porsche has their franchise license now and they are cleared by corporate to perform warranty work. The service advisor, Hector, is great. He has quite a bit of experience with high-end auto service and was previously working for All Pro Imports (I guess All Pro is still the parent dealership).

More importantly (no offense Hector), they have a fantastic mechanic named Mike. Recently, I brought my car in for it's 20K service and since I haven't lived closer than 120mi from a dealership until now, I had a lengthy list of warranty work I needed done. Not only did Mike perform the service quickly and to perfection, but he took the time to fix additional issues he found with my car (warranty that is...no additional cost to me). Further, he was personally dissatisfied with several of the repairs and decided to just order new parts for me. He did the best he could to work with the existing car but realized he couldn't do the job right without new parts. But that didn't stop him from making repairs to hold me over until the new parts arrive. Unlike many other dealerships that won't do any work once they determine parts need to be replaced. Bottom line, they went above and beyond what I asked them to do in terms of the warranty work. They will have my car feeling showroom new once the parts arrive.

Not to mention, they returned the car spotless. Glass was clean, interior was vacuumed, dusted and wiped down, and even the tires were dressed. Plus, there was no hassle with getting a loaner. They put me in a rental since they are short on Porsche loaners right now but no matter. I've had trouble getting a car at previous dealerships and it was a relief for them to just take care of everything. Hector promises he'll have a Porsche loaner for me when I bring the car back in.

Sorry for the long post...but I'm excited to have a great group of people and a legitimate dealership only 13 miles from home. If you guys need any work done, check them out.
