Atlanta Sunday Dec 7 Caffeine (or hot chocolate) and Octane

Yes, tomorrow is the first Sunday of the month, so bundle up and head over the Avenues in Marietta bright and early. Clean car, or dirty, come over and join a bunch of diverse car people hanging out for a few hours - pre war classics, plenty of American muscle, lots of Porsches, and you'll probably see a new Nissan GTR or 2 if you haven't seen one yet.

It seems like I've seen a lot of Caymans around town recently, and several new CaymanClubbers on line, so let's have a great Cayman turn out tomorrow! Ben said he's planning to be there in his new blue S again, D-ick, Terry and Greg? Chris?, and Youngn you still haven't made it! Rod, is the car out of the body shop yet?

Panera Bread Company / Avenue East Mall tomorrow; 4475 Roswell Road Marietta, GA (404-444-5907 is a phone number listed which I assume is Panera if you get lost) 8:30-11:00.

When you pull in the main entrance to the mall (at the stop light), turn to your right when you enter. We usually have a gathering of Porsches along the top row on the end nearest the main entrance if we can, although it does tend to get spread out.

As a reference, it's about 10 minutes south of Henessy Porsche.

See you there bright and early (by 8:30) so we can have all the Caymans together!

And sign up for the PCA holiday party next Saturday too!!!!!

Regards,

David

Re: Atlanta Sunday Dec 7 Caffeine (or hot chocolate) and Octane

David,
Sorry I did not make it. Got in late from a Christmas party and slept in. It was a beautiful morning. I am sure sunglasses were a must up on Porsche row from all the sun reflecting off that black beast of yours! If D-ick and Terry were there we probably could have opened a tanning booth to pay for the hot chocolate.

Re: Atlanta Sunday Dec 7 Caffeine (or hot chocolate) and Octane

Not for me today. I have very little body fat and standing around in sub-freezing weather is not high on my wish list. I did get up and look outside, it was beautiful but windy. A friend stopped by for half an hour and said that there were maybe 50 cars there. Afraid I'll have to wait for a warmer January. Ha!!

Re: Atlanta Sunday Dec 7 Caffeine (or hot chocolate) and Octane

Ben and Terry showed up this morning, and yes, it was "cold" for Atlanta at least (you know, upper 30s). Also, a new CaymanS this morning, Doug, in another Cobalt blue; his TR3 (if I remember correctly) wouldn't start (I guess those British electrics really don't like the cold!!). As Ben pointed out, the real hardcores where the open top guys that drove in top down, in pre heated seats (or even heater equiped) classics. I think they are the guys at football games painted up with no shirts when it's 20 below too.....

4 Nissan GTRs showed up, but it was a bit of a light showing given the "cold".

I also learned that we have another new Cayman owner in the Peachstate PCA; welcome Jeff if you are lurking, so you did make the switch!!!!; he also has a couple other incredible Porsches in his garage, so fill everyone in.......

Hope to see you at the Peachstate holiday party on Saturday!
