Houston dealers for repairs?

I have a few issues that I would like to have addressed on my car, but I am not really familiar with the quality of service of one Houston dealer versus another.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Where have you guys had a good experience?
What dealers should I stay away from?

Southwest Houston folks

Can't speak for new Porsche models, but Momentum BMW/Volvo has done good work on my Volvos since 1995 or so. Labor cost is high ($135/hr), parts are market rate, things fixed right first time.

And Eric at eurocar-werk has been great with my 1975 914. He has a nice collection of older 911's in his showroom. Likes the Cayman, thinks the Boxster looks like a used bar of soap. (And he'll kill me for saying that )

I live in Spring and use Porsche of North Houston on I45 north of 1960.

Have had good experiences with them and would recommend them. But if you live in Sugarland, I don't know as I've never used them for service, but they didn't do a good job selling me a car.

Ole Joe

Stay away from Momentum. West fixed a tail light and fuse issue for me pretty quickly. Have heard good things about north.

Had three issues addressed at Momentum Porsche today. All were repaired in the first attempt. No apparent damage to the car. I was provided with a loaner car and my car was returned to me in the same day.

I have used Porsche of West Houston. They installed my short shifter, clear bra, custom steeing wheel, 19 rims. They also de-clunked my trunk hatch an its been quiet since. Good inventory of parts. No wait on replacing a torn rear mud guard. Offered a freebie on a dented rim repair (still waiting for time to get this done). I'm very satisfied with their service, quick turnaround, shuttle service, competitive pricing. Good friendly folks, great mechanics. Also, I had a BORLA exhaust installed. Since it was an aftermarket item, I had Driver's Source (Memorial and Dairy Ashford) do the install. Again, very good service. These folks mod and race Ferraris and Porsches, so they know their stuff.

I took my car to Momentum for its first 20K service a while back. One day in/out, loaner car, no problems.....except...when I picked the car up, the charges were almost $100 more than I had been originally quoted. (no other additional work other than the checkup was done.) I questioned it and without a word the service advisor adjusted the price back to what it should have been. I mentioned it in the two follow up phone calls I got from the survey folks, and both told me a "manager would follow up" but I never got any calls back about it. That said, I'm taking my car in today for a rattle and the Trunk Clunk service bulletin, will report back after about my experience.

I had a a similar experience with Momentum. The invoice I was give was 50% more than the quote and in this case nearly $1k. The SA took it to the SM and eventually it was resolved. I didn't dwell on it but after hearing your story I wonder how many people just pay their inflated bills without questioning them. I'll go to West from now on.

Took my Boxster to Momentum last year for an inspection sticker. They charged me for "shop supplies" In addition to the state mandated charge for inspection. First time this has ever happened in any vehicle.

Dropped off the car yesterday afternoon, haven't heard from them yet today. This may sound kind of whiney...but my loaner car is a Mazda 3 Hatchback! When I had BMW's, I got BMW loaners. On my Audi, I got Audis, on my MINI, I got MINI's, the last two are from dealerships in the same group as the Porsche dealer. I inquired and the service rep said they sold all the Porsche loaners. Just strikes me as a crappy way to cut costs from a customer perception standpoint.

They gave me a Ford suv of some sort. I do find it a little off putting as well.

I asked about why they don't provide Porsche loaner cars. The response I got was that they simply couldn't keep up with the demand for Porsche cars to put them into loaner car service. I got a an x-type jaguar.

Got my car back Friday afternoon as scheduled. Squeak around seat belt pillar fixed, Trunk Clunk seems to be better albeit you can still get a thud on a sharp enough bump. I'm kind of ambivalent about the service at Mo...on one hand, they've performed the asked for operations without incident on both of my visits there....but on the other hand, both of the service writers I've dealt with have been rather dour and less than talkative. My service experiences with the Momentum MINI and Audi dealers have been much better in general.
