Where to get brake pads replaced in Houston

Called the dealer about fell out of my chair at their cost to replace pads and sensors. Looking for an independent shop. Any suggestions? Light is on need to do something soon.

Thanks

Re: Where to get brake pads replaced in Houston

Check these independant shops out. I just looked them up on the internet. I don't know anything about them, but worth a try. If you were here in San Antonio, I have a couple really good, honest Porsche garages (Jones Autowerks, Alamo Sports Cars, and Eurocar).

Porsche service repair mechanic and high performance turbo upgrades, Porsche Carrera GT upgrades, Gemballa and Techart upgrades

Eurocar-Werk: Porsche, Ferrari, Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar, Audi, Land Rover and Aston Martin Repair Specialists in Houston TX

Pro Technik Inc. - Home - Porsche Racing, Repair, Performance, Driving, Engine Building, Dyno, Service, Custom Accessories, Machining

Good luck,
Vinnie

I've used Sam over at Protechnik on several occasions - very good work and priced right. Their new location is on 9848 Hwy.59 South at Bissonet (281-879-8861). Highly recommend.

Oh man.... changing pads is a piece of cake. Takes longer to jack up the car and remove the wheels than to change out the pads.

Hooper. Seriously. Changing them is fun. ESPECIALLY if you are NOT a DIY guy.

I will offer personal live phone tech support.

There are great pics and step-by-step articles here, also.

DO IT!

The reaction you get from people is priceless. "You changed the brakes on your Porsche?" They act like you built a cold fusion reactor in your garage.

Just curious - what did the dealer want to do the job?

Re: Where to get brake pads replaced in Houston

Dealer usually charges around $800. Definitely worth doing it yourself. It won't take you more than 30minutes for all 4 tires.
