Well.....had a total blast cruising the curvy FM roads of the hill country with the windows down. Everyone was out today....lot's of Harley's and such....as well as a mix of coupes. I did see a very nice new silver Carrera as well as some Boxters with the tops down. While cruising through Sisterdale, I guess the Chrysler Crossfire Club had a meet. There were probably 20 cars all lined up in a parking lot by the winery. As I cruised by, I waved.....not one person gave me a wave back.....go figure. I ended up at the Welfare General Store in Welfare,
Texas. Here, I had one of the best home made Cheeseburgers with chips and an orange soda....Mmmm! I sat outside on a picnic bench next to the Cayman....and wolfed down my lunch.
I tell you what, today's cruise was something out of a dream. The smell of mountain laurel in the air, the intoxicating sound of that 2.7, and the way this car feels taking on the curves at high speeds.....just totally blew me away!
If anyone's up to meeting next weekend....drop me a line. Otherwise, I'll be flying solo again.....
