LSRPCA tour on March 14

Anyone going to this? Grant and I are planning to go.

Mark, you mentioned perhaps leaving from Magnolia and taking the back roads...lets coordinate a meet.
Lone Star PCA is having a Meet-Drive-Eat event will be held in conjunction with the Porsche Club Races and the Lone Star Region Concours at the Texas World Speedway on Saturday, March 14th.

When the racers break for lunch, we will have the opportunity to drive some relatively low speed parade laps on the very 2.9 mile road course being used for the race, guided by a pace car!!

Details on the Lone Star PCA site including RSVP info. No cost.

Re: LSRPCA tour on March 14

Let's see who all is interested, so speak up here if you are...

The weather forecast isn't all that great as it stands now, but what
do they know?

To do this, I need to get a PCA waiver form (keeps us all insured
that way) for everyone to sign.

I am sorta on the fence about it, but leaning toward going. Even though
I just got through cleaning my Sport Design wheels (which, as those of
you with them know, are a PIA to clean.

Anyone else want to chime in here?

Anyone who went on the last Cayman drive has my email address, so
feel free to email me as well...

I would go with you guys, as long as the rain forecast is mild.

Re: LSRPCA tour on March 14

As of now, the forecast is for cold and rain. If that holds, I will pass. I'm not really being a weenie about driving up there in the rain, but I just think that standing around in the rain watching racing cars parade by slowly may not be worth the drive.

We shall see.

So, let's stay tuned...

20% chance of rain in Bryan, generally diminishing thru the day. Will be chilly. Grant and I are going. We are planning to join the group at the starting point at Ihop.

Hope to see you all.

No but would like to get together sometime in the future to meet other local club members. Hopefully as the weather gets better This will come to pass. My wife and I took our cars to the PCA Reliant fundraiser. And allthough I have owned Porsches most of my adult life this is the 1st. time being a member of PCA as well as our club. I will be down for the rest of March and most of April due to some reconstructive surgery. But after that I most definately will be wanting to get out. Since I am retired pretty much will be able to meet for a lunch or anything else.\
