Anyone up for a meet? I propose meeting up at a local PCA event. If you're interested, let me know when you're available and I'll look up the PCA site and see what's good. This will be a great opportunity to put faces to names and just basically getting to know each other. We're all bound to run into each other sooner or later. Might as well start off on the right foot.

I know there were a few others in the Chicagoland area that were up for a meet also.

Sounds good. I will be in Vegas from July 20-31. I will be available pretty much anytime thereafter.

Maybe we can get a good group together, and maybe some drinks or eats?

I'm from just across the border in Wisconsin and would love to meet some people who already have a Cayman. Let me know if you guys decide to have a meet and if someone who doesn't have a Cayman yet (I'll probably order to arrive Mar. - Apr 2007) can attend. My schedule is pretty unpredictable and if I'm around when you guys decide to have it and I'm allowed to come I'll be there.

I would be up to join such a meet, though I would have to get someone to teach my class for me. Chicago is only 5 hours away (4 by Cayman) from St. Louis, and it is possible I will have my 9ff kit installed by then.

Any suggestions as far as nice downtown Chicago spots, particularly with good parking and lighting? A get-together dinner, drinks and maybe a photoshoot so we can have some nice pics for the gallery.

Back of the Field Museum by Soldier Field would be great for a photoshoot...as far as dinner, Tavern on Rush is one of my favorite spots downtown (endless options for food in Downtown Chicago)...

I agree with Kevin about the back of the FM. Great views and photos with the lake in the background.

Not sure how I feel about leaving all the Caymans together downtown- seems like we may be asking for trouble.

Maybe we meet somewhere other than the city? Lake Geneva Wi.maybe. Give us a chance to drive the cars on some of the backroads up there.

That sounds cool Steve...it would be nice to take my Cayman on some backroads...I don't get to really open her up much here in the city..also, I'd like to come by and check out your office sometime, I'll give you a call one of these days...take care

Interesting...WI huh? I have a friend that goes on these bike tours in WI so I could ask him which roads would be good for us to tackle.

BTW, did all you guys see my post about the Porsche-only road trip? Interested?

There's a few cool places to drive and see here 'north of the border.' Lake Genva would a cool place and there are some good roads around there. I don't know what sort of food everyone is looking for, but there's a couple places around there that would be a good place to meet and then be a good launching pad for a drive.

Has anyone thought of some of the North Suburbs? One group I used to belong to had a BBQ every year at a park near Northbrook of course we didn't do much driving.

I agree that somewhere outside of Downtown is probably best for a GTG.
