Heyer Performance

Does anyone know if Heyer Performance is open? I've been trying to call all morning and no one is there. They get great reviews, and I live only a couple blocks away. Any other suggestions for the Mountain View area?

Re: Heyer Performance

If I were in that area, my performance shop of choice would be Sharkwerks.

Re: Heyer Performance

I ended up going to Modderman, and will report back on the service. Sharkwerks refused to do service on parts I had not purchased through them. While I understand his concern about faulty parts, it sure seem like a silly reason to turn away business. (This is actually the second time I was refused business there - I wanted to buy a FVD Steering wheel as well. However, I should note that he has never been anything but professional and helpful, and will continue to ask Sharkwerks first.)

Re: Heyer Performance

You might also look into Reitmeir's in Los Altos - (Reitmeir's Werkstatt Inc.) - great shop... I used them and Tony Heyer for a long time for my older 911s after Garretson's closed.

I also had great service from Heyer 14+ years ago - but it's been a long time since I had any work done there. I'd keep trying if he's that close.

Good choice....I've used Modderman exclusively since 1975 when Dave's uncle (Wil) owned it...

In fact I owe him a commission for selling my '63 356SC....it took him all of about 20 minutes

Cheers

Bob
