Anyone going to the Palo Alto Concours D'Elegance this year? It's Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Stanford University.

The featured European marque is Porsche, though of course they are biasing the entries towards pre-1998 cars. Despite that, it's still worth attending as they always have some spectacular cars on display!

My son and his family live in Palo Alto but I'm on the other side of the US in North Carolina.

Although my wife and I are thinking about moving. We need to get closer to the granddaughters.

Beautiful Birdcage!! It has to be my favorite car of all time. Nice photos.

Maybe late June would be a good time for a visit to California.

One of the organizers posted this on a different board:

We are putting the final wrap on the entrys and it looks really good. Race cars include current cars from TRG, Bell Micro and Flying Lizards. Classic race cars include 550's, 356, 911, 935, 917/30, 962, etc. Road cars will also be heavily represented.

Can't wait!
