Stockton Auto-x This weekend

Is anyone planning on going. I'll probably do Saturday only.

quote from pca forum:
Hello Autocrossers!

It’s just a few more days until your next opportunity to come autocross with SVR and GGR in Stockton at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds!

Saturday May 30th will be “hosted” by SVR and Sunday May 31st will be “hosted” by GGR. Both days will count towards SVR year end awards, and both days are also Zone 7 points events; Sunday is also a GGR points event.

The early birds will be there around 7:00 AM to start setting up, Registration and Tech should open between 7:30 and 8:00 and we hope to be ready to have the drivers meeting done and the first car out on course by 9:00AM. Entry fee: $35 per driver per day. No Open Exhausts.

Since there are very few nice places to eat around the site, on Saturday we will have the “SVR Bistro”. There will be a social area with some tables and chairs for you or your friends to hang out and have lunch or socialize, or compare time slips? We will be selling BBQ Brats and chips for $5. On Sunday there will be a vendor with reasonably priced hamburgers, hot dogs and nachos ($2 - $4 ea). Soda will be available both days for $1.

The SVR Goodie Store will be there with the usual PCA and SVR stuff for sale. In addition, we have designed some SVR Auto-X Series t-shirts that you can buy or order to help you both look stylish and take at least 2 seconds off your lap times! You can also use painters tape or shoe polish for your required car numbers, or we will have some nice pre-cut vinyl numbers available for $2.50 per digit, or you can order magnetic numbers for future events as well. There will be no bar-coded timing systems used so you only need 2 or 3 digit numbers…registered Zone 7 numbers will be given priority.

On Saturday night we are having a “Pizza Party and Bench Racing” at the Round Table on March Lane. We will be taking signups at the event on Saturday, cost will be $10 pp for pizza and sides, you’re own your own for drinks.

HOTELS: For those of you who want to stay in Stockton either Friday or Saturday night (or both) there are several choices: La Quinta (209) 952-7800; Quality Inn (209)477-5576; and Comfort Inn (209) 478-4300 are in the $75 range; We finally got a block of rooms at the Marriott Courtyard for $99 per night (no breakfast). To get this special rate (normally $129) call 800-321-2211 and ask for the Porsche Club of Sacramento group block (PCS).

So what do you need to do next?

First – Send an “Auto-X RSVP” to bbayou@jps.net and let us know if you are planning on coming to the event, how many drivers, and if you want to buy lunch at the Bistro on Saturday. (To help us plan how much food to get, and me to plan how many run groups we need.)

Second– I need a few people to arrive around 7:00 to help with setting up and boxing those 500 cones we use you make the course. If you can help with set-up, please include that in your email as well.

Third – Come and have a great one or two days of two Autocrossing your car with your friends! At the end of the day, pitch in and help stack cones so we can all go home a little tired and a lot happy! (Or, join us for Pizza, a beer and maybe video of the days events at the Saturday Pizza Party…….)

Hope to see you on May 30th and 31st in Stockton!
