Hey fellas,

I've been learning on this forum for the past 9 mo. I am very grateful to all of you for your articles/threads/ and overall info!

This is my first post so I wasn't sure if this belonged in the general chat or in the sales/leasing area.

I am super close on closing the deal on my first p-car. Im in the process of buying an 07 Cayman S from a private seller. He is the second owner who bought the car as a cpo three years ago. If the dealer sold it as a CPO does that mean the DME was "clean" at that time? The current owner has run it about another 23K miles in the past three years and states he never tracked or abused the car. The car looks to be in pristine condition and it runs great. It is still a CPO for two more years and the car has 29K miles.

I want to take it in for a PPI for peace of mind but the porsche dealerships in the area are not being cooperative. I called a couple and they said they don't provide that service and that most porsche stopped doing them as well:(

Anyone know about an independant shop (or cooperative dealer) I can take it to in So. California?

Thanks,
Steve D.

Ooooops. The 5th dealer I called (McKenna) said they would do it for $310. Now hopefully the seller will make the car available for the service:p
