If it is a fault, there would be a fault code displayed. Have you noticed on the RPM guage if there is a lit display that looks like an exclamation mark? We could help you more if any of the above were true...or if you gave any other clues about the situation. You stated it was during idle, so that rules out the beep for the speed limit notifier (which you can set/change on the computer). I have mine at 86 mph. But that does not seem to be your issue.
Any issues with tire pressure....causing the
TPMS sensor to send a signal to the computer?
Thats all I can guess for now.

TPMS - The Tire Pressure Monitoring System provides early warning of any drop in pressure by continuously monitoring the pressure in each tire and alerting you in the onboard computer display in the event of a pressure deficiency. It communicates the exact pressure of each tire and/or their deviation from ideal pressure. This does away with the need for regular air pressure checks at the service station, which often prove highly inconvenient.
See the TPMS FAQ for more info. |
