Anyone out and about in the snow?

I just saw some pics of London and I thought of our U-Kaymanites.

Sounds like a great time to stay home? Here in Northern California we are praying for rain and snow.

Re: Anyone out and about in the snow?

We had 8" in Surrey, just outside London. The heaviest snow fall in eighteen years!! I tried getting to work this morning but the traffic was at a stand still on all the major routes. I turned around and came home, not really worth chancing it on country lanes as the gritters only cover the main roads. Both my wife and I worked from home today.

We'll have to see what happens tomorrow.

Re: Anyone out and about in the snow?

Left my Cayman S at home today and took the Freelander Van I use as well. The cayman is a simple no go in the snow, plus my estate has a slight hill to be able to get out.

Safer to leave at home..!!!

Re: Anyone out and about in the snow?

I actually took my snows off this weekend and put my summers back on. (I have 2 sets of wheels.) Based on the last couple of years I was expecting more snow but we've only had about a week of snow so far!

Re: Anyone out and about in the snow?

I'll be out and about shortly...it's snowing here on the eastern shores but not much is sticking to the roadways. It's a shame b/c I love driving in the stuff even in my cayman. Best advise is to shut off the psm going up hill...learned that one this past week.

drive safe...be safe...and get out there and back before the other drivers take to the roads...you know the ones who can't even drive in a drizzle.
