Gen 2s Out and About

Pulled into a local eatery last night and there in the carpark was a nice white 987.2 Cayman S parked up.

Looked nice. Especially the LED side lights when the owner pulled away a little later on.

This new product launch has been the most open that I have ever seen from Porsche. Cars lying around in dealers, early test drives, dealer employees on the streets in cars etc etc.

I wonder why?

Re: Gen 2s Out and About

I drove a 3.4S Gen II two weeks ago, I thought the six speed manual was better than the Gen I's I have driven and as good as the Gen I 997s.
The engine seemed to rev more easily, with handling feeling the same. Early delivery seemed a possibility. If the right deal was on the table I would buy one.

I also tried a PDK 2.9 Boxster and thought the PDK gearbox was spot on and the 2.9 engine had plenty for the chassis which gets all wobbly when pushed a bit. But then we are spoilt with the Cayman.

Sat Nav function and mapping are still not up to TomTom and why, why are Xenons an extra?

Re: Gen 2s Out and About

I thought that the Xenons are standard but the ones that point the beams round corners are extra.

Sancerre for £2.99?? What planet do you live on?? If you can find me a good Sancerre for £2.99 I'll take a half dozen cases......

Karel now spends all day Friday trying to find me 200 bottles of Sancerre just to prove a point

For the 911, that is true. But for the 2009 Boxster/Cayman, the bi-xenons are packaged w/ dynamic cornering, Option Code P75, for US$1,560. Standard lights are H7's.
