ECU Remap and Milltek Headers

Hi,

Am thinking of getting a remap on my Cayman S done by AMD Essex and changing the headers.

Couple of questions - anyone else had a remap from AMD and any feedback?

Have read a couple of threads around the manifold failures experienced by other users. Any updates as to whether this has been resolved now or are people still getting CEL and cat failures. Is this limited to the 200 cell cats?

Thanks,
john

Re: ECU Remap and Milltek Headers

John,

I don't know what the current status is, you'd have to contact Milltek to find out, but in the past there were problems with both 100cel and 200cel units, apparently somewhat at random, in other words no way to tell whether yours were going to have a problem or not. I don't know if they ever got it sorted out or not. I do know at one point the US distributor stopped selling Milltek headers here in the US, but again I haven't spoken to them in awhile so I don't know the current status.

Re: ECU Remap and Milltek Headers

I am very happy with my Softronic plenum and flash with the Milltek catback and Fabspeed headers. I have replaced the headers once but they now seem to be holding up. I will be doing a three day PCA DE event in mid March with three 90 minutes track sessions that will put them to the test. I'll give a report after the event.

You can Get them at a Good Price at the moment on Ebay - Headers and Catback with or without Secondary Cats.....

cayman exhaust, Cars, Parts Vehicles, Tuning Styling items at low prices on eBay.co.uk

As For AMD Tuning - ?

We Know the Softronic Race PlenumGT3 ThrottleBody Works in the UK with the Softronic Re-Map - which you can do Yourself.... And return the ECU/Mapping to Stock if Necessary......

Just a Thought....
