That's a great question.

If it wasn't for the mangled fenders and rocker panels, that would be an awesome buy.

Re: That's a great question.

It hit so hard that the steering wheel has been shoved over to the right-hand side of the car!

A friend had a similar set of accident damage when clipped by a driver on a dual carriage way, span into the armco, etc no airbag activation. I think if there is excessive rotation impact on the front then the airbags do not deploy as they do not detect a forward momentum / head on impact

Would need someone in the industry to explain probably.

Also that advert goes into lots of info regarding Cat classes of damage but does not indicate what CAT class this is ?

Hope they had track insurance if it was a Track Day

Re: Track Day Trouble?

When I saw the front pics I thought "easy, it's a parked car that got impacted", then I saw the sides... There's nothing that can hit you and make your side-skirt ramp up like you drove over a boulder.

I can't say condolances to the owner, to be honest, because he's priced his auction a totally rediculous price... 15k? What on earth for? There's 2nd hand uncrashed cars going for 19k. I mean I can appreciate the car's got low mileage, but is the man shopping for fools? What good is mileage in a severely crashed motor?
