Tonight I spent some time going over the most recent submissions of products and businesses for the garage and found that almost a third were not valid. I probably haven't put down a good how-to post yet, but I thought it was self explanatory but evidently not.
First, somplace like
Tire Rack is not a Manufacturer, they are a retail shop, possibly a garage (install parts) and possibly a dyno testing facility (if they in fact have one). I had a couple of sets of wheels with
Tire Rack listed as the manufacturer, the manufacturer should be whomever makes the wheels, not where you happened to buy them. Same thing for Ebay, Ebay is NOT a manufacturer.
Likewise, Porsche may be the manufacturer of a Tequipment set of red tail lights, and
Suncoast Porsche is where you bought them so they would be "retail" not a manufacturer, although they would also be a "garage" as well since they have a service department.
Please list mods for the correct part of the car they belong to, if you are unsure, please ask.
Please also check to see if a business exists before trying to add it, I had some duplicates for companies that were already in the garage so I had to delete those.
Thanks for your attention to these details!
Sincerely,
