The Bose and Burmester options must add 15 - 20 lbs with all those speakers, and the power seats, must add another 10 - 15 with all the little motors. But they can't add (even as an option) a glass rear window with defogger that would add 3- 5 lbs at most? I just don't get it. Also, I've searched everything I could find on the 992 Speedster, and I can't find any information on if that also uses a plastic rear window. Anyone know?
So, I was wondering what type of rear window the 718 Spyder would have, so have found any information that describes what the rear window in this new model will be?

Yeah, I could find nothing at all from anything official, but I read all the "first drive" reviews that were published a couple of days ago, and Motor Trend (the only one that even mentioned it) stated that the rear window is plastic. I was hoping that the reviewer was just saying that based on it being plastic in the 981 Spyder, or perhaps it will be changed to glass when the car is officially released. I have to say (again), that using a plastic rear window is beyond idiotic on an otherwise amazing car...

Porsche, if you're listening, please at least give us an option for a glass rear window!

About half way down in this article: "The roof might be only partially lined, with a plastic rear window, but it stays snug and taut at freeway speeds, and wind noise is remarkably low."
