Brake Caliper Stud Kit for 981S

Is a front caliper stud kit the way to go? Basically, it just seems easier to slide the caliper down a stud after changing the pads than having to use the Porsche way of putting the caliper on top of the hub, align the caliper, then blindly thread the bolt into the hub and possible cross thread it.

Any concerns with Metallurgy of different metals, corrosion, or some other reason? Changing brake pads at the track simplar with this option.

Thoughts?

I've done lots of pad/rotor changes and never had an issue with the caliper bolts. I keep everything clean and use new bolts. In the front I turn the assembly if I need to see better. I only hand thread the bolts to start to ensure no cross threading, then torque to spec. That said the studs are a popular upgrade. Only downside I see is you have to swing the caliper and lines further up and over to get them positioned over the studs. Now the little bracket bolts are a PITA and I'd consider replacing those with studs.

Points well taken. I put Girodisc 350MM rotors on the front and have a 10MM spacer to move the caliper further away from rotor. Last time I changed the pads that spacer fell into a peculiar space. This made me look for a better way. Girodisc is producing bolts for their product as an exact fit.

I have the Tarrett studs as well. Much easier to get those calipers off and back on. Didn't get the small studs for the brake line bracket and wish I did. I'll probably be ordering them soon. Getting those stupid little bolts in is a PITA.
