    Air conditioning weirdness

On my way back from dentist (implants, waiting for pain med to kick in) and my a/c was blowing warm air. Turn it to max a/c and it blew cold. Back to normal and blows warm.

While waiting at drugstore to drop off prescriptions at drive-through I turned the fan all the way up in normal a/c mode and it blew cold thereafter.

I will get it checked later this month, but wondering if any of you experienced anything like this? Warm day today but it has been working fine the past 2 years in hotter weather.

    Re: Air conditioning weirdness

Both of the AC lines that connect to the evaporator failed on my 2014 CS. They were bad when I bought the car at 24k miles. They leaked compressor oil all over the gas tank and onto the headlight leveling sensor in the passenger side wheel well.

Look under the car in the passenger wheel well for that sensor/plug, mine was soaking wet and shiny, covered in dirt that was stuck in the oil. If you're having those problems, it'd be obvious if that's the cause.

Thanks! Will check it out shortly. My car is right at 25k miles.

The lines connect to the evaporator behind/under the battery. You should be able to inspect them a bit with a flashlight without moving it if you just pull the cover off in the frunk.

    Re: Air conditioning weirdness

I checked all I could see and nothing seemed amiss. Went for a drive and no issues. Beginning to wonder if I had turned off the a/c when I left the dentist office in a less than happy state. Getting an oil change in a couple of weeks so will have them check the system then if it returns.

    Thanks for the help!
