HELLLLLP!!! my car just died (won't turn on)

Dear friends, I'm not using much my car (06 CS) . So today I've jump started, let it run for 30 minutes and then a little ride to stretch its legs, so far so good.

Near home I've to break or hard due a moron and the car shut off, no problem let's turn it on and go home.

And then all hell broke loose. There were so many lights on in my dashboard that looked like a Christmas tree. I pressed pushed it to a parking spot nearby and tried to jump start it, no success. Warning lights blinking, headlights like a strobe.

A friendly taxi driver tried to help me to turn it on using his car, no success. while we've tried to do it there was a strange sound ( clack clack clack) coming from the dash.

Now I'm waiting for the tow, writing this post in fear that my car is dead forever, or that will cost me a kidney to fix it.

Btw, I can't even open the frunk using the energy points in the fuse box. I plug my battery, probably drained, and there's nothing.

So please help me to figure it out. I'll charge my jump start battery and try to open the frunk, then test my battery and if so replace it (it is 1 year old, but I don't use the car very much).

But if that does not work, how can I open the frunk?

Buy a new battery and replace it yourself (easy). I'll bet everything will be fine afterwards. Then use a trickle charger going forward (or even better use the Porsche more!). Good luck

Willing to bet a lot of money your battery is dead beyond recharging. Replace it yourself and go back to enjoying the ride.

I was not using a trickle charger because I live in a building without wall sockets in the garage... I´ve found a solar one, i´ll this thing.

    +1.
My 06 CS is very voltage sensitive. Battery voltage test can be misleading. Need to have it draw (load) tested and even then sometimes it'll be flaky.
Best 'smart' trickle charger in the world all winter...said it was on maintenance @ 12.7v. No start come spring. Price of a battery...check for coupons...not sure if I can mention vendors...WELL worth with. No need for maintainer on mine if run every week or so.
Try not to worry & good luck!

I´ve just replaced the battery, still on warranty. the car is on and no problems.

I´ve bought the Schumacher SP200 solar trickle charger, I´ll fool around on how to place it, but for now it´s on the windshield, there´s not a lot of sun, but it might do the trick. tomorrow with daylight I´ll measure how much current it´s generating.

thank you all for the help and support.

Re: HELLLLLP!!! my car just died (won't turn on)

I once left the key inserted in the ignition of my 06CS for several days, which completely discharged the battery. After a few hours of battery charging I turned on the ignition without attempting to start it and got the same light show that you saw. In addition, the windows were going up & down and the airbag lamp illuminated. After turning off the ignition and allowing the battery to charge overnight and well into the next day, the car behaved normally except that the dealer had to reset the airbag alarm.
Evidently a few hours of charging only replenished the completely-dead battery enough to begin to boot up the car's systems when the key was turned. Then the battery voltage dropped below allowable limits before boot-up completed. Not good! Let the battery take on a full charge before even turning on the key.
