Has anyone had any issues with Valentine and their customer service lately? I sent two V1's back for updating and got them back. I had a new cable that was included in the upgrade that the tab snapped off the first time I used it and they said I had to bring it in or mail it back for their "engineers to examine under a microscope" (direct quote) before they could replace it. The postage exceeds the value of the cord. Actually I would have gladly paid the postage but replacement was contingent on what the engineers found when they put it under the microscope. Who ever heard of such? I've bought probably six V1s over the last 15 years and to bicker over a simple power cord was just more than I was expecting to have to do in order to get some decent customer service.
As a V1 owner i have to agree; i really dig and have confidence in my unit BUT that response is to you the consumer is chickenpoo!!! I would call them back and raise this up their flagpole. U may have dealt with a problem employee that has some issues.
