Hi, you mentioned in some post about the Pioneer AVIC-X930BT
Do you need the mount to be able to install that radio ?
I was wondering if this one would work for it.

    Hi Condor,

You need the Euro Motor Speed install kit, you can get it from Loi Trieu euromotorspeed@gmail.com or call 727.455.6580 This kit allows you to use the CDR wiring bundle with no changes whatsoever, it's truly plug & play and comes with the brackets to insert a double DIN head unit into the opening in your dash and includes an awesome bezel. If memory serves the kit costs $250 and Loi truly provides world class customer service.

You can plug your antenna into the Pioneer unit, no brainer. The amp in your frunk will drive all your current speakers same as it does now, if you want to replace the amp then the new one will drive all the speakers easily. Feel free to email jeff.logan2010@gmail.com or call me if you need more info 503-647-7654 Best, Jeff

    Hello Hack,

I saw another user asking for headunit upgrade advice and you said you could help offer some insight. I hope you don't mind me taking up his offer to contact you directly.

I want to update to the avic-x930bt. I have the cdr-24 with sound package plus on an 08 cayman. My question is when I pull out the cdr-24.
How did you wire up the new headunit?
Is there a kit or adapter that I buy for a clean direct plugin?
Will the existing cdr-24 antenna fit on or does that also need an adapter?
How do I include the ASK amplifier in this loop and if not how do I continue using my door woofers?

    Cheers,
    Condor

I've heard from many people that the amps tend to die, then the diagnosis begins. It depends on how long you intend on keeping the car, and whether music means a lot to you. There was nothing "wrong" with my stock system from the very simple perspective it worked, but it really was total **** from the get go so I upgraded/changed the entire system. I acknowledge most Porsche owners would rather listen to the drone, I'm a music lover. Best, Jeff

    Hello Hack,

I have a 08 cayman (sound package plus) and I think the amp is bad because when I fade the sound to the front only there is no bass at all. I took it to the porsche dealer and they claim that all ohms and impedance are normal or within range according to their computer (I don't know what that even means).

Do you know how to diagnose this amp or radio issue? Thank You
    Condor
