Boxster in garage, wife goes to work. Boxster needed an oil change, I came back with Cayman. Wife came home from work, Cayman in garage. I told her I changed the oil. I did, and changed the car too. I let her choose paint colors for redecorating. Any questions?

It's a guy thing. Life is short. No regrets.

oil-filter-housing
While I understand the concept, it appears a tad risky for my taste.

The plastic and the bolt will most certainly have a different response to heat and cold. That could cause a leak or even allow the bolt to unscrew while driving, Then the oil would empty really, really fast.

Porsche didn't install a drain, as the filter housing drops straight down. And when the car is lifted up off the ground, where it is high enough to have comfortable access to it, spillage should not be a problem.
